Plastyc Publishes Comparison Between UPside Visa and Suze Orman’s New Prepaid Card

Plastyc Publishes Comparison Between UPside Visa and Suze Orman’s New Prepaid Card

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 09, 2012

Plastyc published today a fee and feature comparison between the UPside Visa and Suze Orman’s new “The Approved” card to help consumers and their financial advisers look beyond the claims and analyze the facts.

“This isn’t just another celebrity prepaid card. Suze Orman is a sure financial adviser to millions of underbanked Americans. Now that she has a financial service that competes with others, should consumers trust that her card is best or check the facts? We believe consumers should check the facts,” said Patrice Peyret, CEO of Plastyc.

Comparing fees isn’t easy. Prepaid tease companies describe and highlight features differently. Plastyc based its fee comparisons on the features that its own underbanked customers use the most. Plastyc emphasizes that the underbanked consumers often use a prepaid card as their chief or sole payment service need a full set of services along with low fees.

Based on the fee comparison, the most significant difference between the Suze Orman card and UPside Visa is as follows*:

The UPside Visa charges no purchase fee; The Approved Card charges $ 3, payable by Visa or Mastercard at signup.     The UPside Visa charges a monthly fee of $ .99 for anyone who loads $ 500 or more in the month, The Approved Cards charges a $ 3 monthly fee.     The UPside Visa let’s consumer issue send paper checks to anyone for a fee of up to $ 2 per check; The Approved Card does not appear to offer this feature.     The UPside Visa offers reward points; The Approved Card does not appear to offer this feature.     For roughly a third of its cardholders who direct deposit regularly, UPside created a premium tier with no monthly fee, no phone inquiry fee, one free paper check each month and cash back points when using the card. For cardholders receiving direct deposit, the Approved Card waives some ATM fees and the phone inquiry fee but not the $ 3 monthly fee.

Many underbanked consumers use their prepaid card instead of a checking account or credit card. So a prepaid card that requires a card payment at enrollment does not make sense for them. Likewise, underbanked consumers may need to send a check to individuals such as a landlord at specific dates, so a bill-paying feature that only issues paper checks to bank-approved invoicers (typically large companies) doesn’t fully meet their needs.

“We’re excited that Suze Orman has endorsed prepaid cards as a potentially empowering financial option. We also encourage consumers to shop around and pick what best meets their needs, no matter whose face is on the card,” said Peyret.

Bounce Energy Offers Customers New Cash Back Rewards Program

Bounce Energy Offers Customers New Cash Back Rewards Program

Bounce Energy Offers Customers New Cash Back Rewards Program

Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 02, 2012

After concluding a productive and popular 12 Deals of Christmas promotion in December 2011, Bounce Energy, a Texas electricity company, is launching its brand-new customer incentive program, 3% Cash Back Rewards, in addition to its Bounce Energy Rewards Program and American AAdvantage Rewards Program. This new program is designed to give loyal customers another rewards option by offering the chance to earn 3% cash back for paying their bills on-time.

When a customer makes 12 consecutive on-time bill payments, the customer will receive a 3% cash back reward. The amount of this reward is determined by adding up the amount the customer paid across the entirety of those 12 consecutive bills and then calculating 3% of that total. This reward will then be applied as a bill credit to the customer’s following bill. Customers will receive this 3% cash back reward for every set of 12 consecutive on-time bill payments made. Best of all, there is no minimum or maximum to how much customers can earn with this 3% cash back bill credit.

Current Bounce Energy customers may choose to switch to the 3% Cash Back Rewards Program.. New Bounce customers will be able to choose between one of the three different rewards program during the sign-up process. Also, some rewards program options only apply to customers with residential service.

Along with this new rewards program, Bounce remains committed to offering a range of incentives to its excellent customers along with the company’s competitive energy rates and plans. Customers who enroll in the standard Bounce Energy Rewards Program can earn rewards such as gift cards, movie tickets, companion airfare, bill credits, and a free month of electricity by paying their bills on-time. Customers who enroll in the American AAdvantage Rewards Program can earn one American Airlines mile for each $ 1 paid towards their electricity bill.

About Bounce Energy
Bounce Energy is a privately-owned and full-service retailer of electricity in Texas offering affordable, comprehensive and innovative plan to help customers easily manage their electricity service. As one of the fastest growing Texas electric companies, Bounce Energy has done so by developing its own technology infrastructure and applications. Paymentsite Drives Teamwork Retail?s New iPad POS

Paymentsite Drives Teamwork Retail’s New iPad POS

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) December 29, 2011

Today, instead of standing in a checkout line, a customer in a Teamwork Retail store may have their purchases rung up on an iPad right out on the floor… The phrase “Let me check our stock and I’ll be back in a few minutes,” has been eliminated from the vocabulary of sales clerks who are lucky enough to use Teamwork Retail’s iPad POS software.

Not only is the store’s inventory a couple of taps away but Teamwork on the iPad y can also add a new customer, give a discount, and take and process payments and email a receipt.

With a couple of taps, Teamwork brings up any inventory in the store and also shows items available in all other stores in the chain. Teamwork Retail not only manages inventory, purchasing, receiving, analytics and management reporting as well. All of this from the cloud and yes, it’s also an iPad POS terminal for accepting credit cards. Merchants now have the ability to create new invoices, scan products, enter customer information and perform inventory lookups at the front counter or away from it. And since Paymentsite is packaged into the software, a merchant can process payments anywhere, accept signatures on-screen, and email or wirelessly print receipts.

Maas Global and Teamwork Retail are pleased to announce the development of a strategic partnership where each company is focused on their core strengths to provide the most feature rich store management and payment acceptance system in the specialty retail market segment.

Market research shows that over half of the specialty retailers in the US are looking to deploy handheld POS devices to replace many of their standard POS systems, so Teamwork Retail is poised for fast growth. With this kind of growth potential, Teamwork Retail needed a payments partner that was both innovative and dependable. They turned to Maas Global Solutions.

“Maas Global’s Paymentsite Gateway offers our customers a robust and dependable connection to their payment processor,” said Teamwork Retail President Michael Mauerer. “Another key concern for today’s retailers is security and compliance with all the Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. The Paymentsite Gateway handles that beautifully.”

In fact, Maas Global’s Paymentsite is the payment engine behind many software applications. The Paymentsite Application Programming Interface or “API” has proven to be very easy for development shops to work with.

“Maas Global is focused on making it easy for software developers to integrate payments into their applications,” said Troy Maas, CEO of Maas Global Solutions. Troy went on to state, “Our strategy for having dedicated resources to help software developers integrate to the Paymentsite Platform has proven to be a great success.” Maas Global understands that IT organizations require advanced technology, reliability and availability, capacity and scalability, performance, security, flexibility and affordability.

As for retailers, Teamwork Retail believes that a “new technology inflection point” has arrived and this has been caused by the “maturity of cloud computing, mobile technologies and open access to transactions payment networks”. It’s no secret that business software is rapidly shifting from premise-based software licenses to cloud-based software services. Both the Teamwork Retail software and the Paymentsite Payment Gateway are cloud-based systems whose many advantages include the elimination of on-site IT infrastructure and their related costs.
